Overview
Established in 1939 by Elizabeth Holmes Fisher, USC’s Fisher Museum of Art is the first art museum to open in Los Angeles. Located on the southern end of USC’s campus, the museum sits directly across from LA’s Natural History Museum, the California Science Center, and the California African American Museum. The Fisher Museum hosts an impressive institutional collection and seasonally rotates art from the private collections of friends of the museum.
We worked with the museum committee to develop a visual identity system to rebrand and create more familiarity around the museum. In an effort to modernize the Fisher Museum while remaining true to the greater USC brand, the identity system revolves around a scalable grid system to help the museum’s office apply vertical, horizontal, and square layouts across various mediums.
